Welcome to Veritas World Junior!
Veritas is the creation of parents of Junior Golfers and long term devotees to Junior Golf with input from real live Junior Golfers. The ideas for this tournament generated from a wish list of input with the basic question being: What elements would make the most fun and exciting Junior Golf tournament ever held?
The one element everyone wanted was more opportunity! More divisions and more players. Veritas delivers that with every kid playing in his or her own age division and the future potential set a world record for the largest Junior Golf tournament in the world. Veritas has 26 divisions for boys and girls and 26 Champions each year!
Holding an event in Los Angeles means your family's significant investment in Junior Golf expense is not going to be wasted by unpredictable weather. Summer weather in Los Angeles area is famous for being the best in the world. There is virtually no risk that the tournament you plan month's for will be washed out by storms.
Another element was having all players together for opening ceremonies in an exciting venue. Veritas delivers that with opening ceremonies at either Dodger's Stadium in 2012 before a game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres. Before the game, the Los Angeles Dodgers have invited all Veritas players onto the stadium field for a Parade of Flags. And one lucky Veritas player will be randomly chosen to throw out the first PITCH!
A critical element of Veritas is the creation of an elite Junior Advisory Board giving the juniors selected direct access to the organizers to drive improvement in the tournament experience. Veritas LISTENS!!
Other elements like with no player cut, eliminating DQs for unintentional rules violations, caddies allowed for the 10 and under divisions, transparent exemption policy with At Large qualifying opportunities, a Standby Waitlist where kids can get in at last minute for only $50.
And best of all Veritas is committed to keep improving each year and working to find ways to give more kids the opportunity to experience a major junior golf tournament.
